Love this quote by man, Albert Einstein! (yeah, yeah, I know, not exactly an athletic guy, huh?) But he makes a great point with this quote. There are many coaches out there who feel they need to go on and on when explaining new skills to athletes. Maybe to create the impression that they are really smart by how much they know, not sure. But the best coaches can break a skill down into the simplest terms with the fewest words to get their points across. If they can’t do that, then just maybe they don’t really understand the skill or how the brain works. The athlete’s brain can only take in so much at a time to transfer that information to the muscles anyway.
