We have often heard this phrase to describe how one views a situation. A pessimist would say that the glass is half empty while the optimist would say the glass is half full. I heard a quote from Chadwick Boseman (an outstanding young actor and quality individual who recently succumbed to cancer after a courageous fight) that gave this phrase a new, deeper meaning. Very simply, his attitude was “I choose FULL”. Not half full, but FULL. That is the attitude that I want to have. Sometimes it is hard being that optimistic, but it sure sounds like a great attitude to continue to pursue.
